Meals-In-A-Bag

Super Easy Chili
1 can tomato sauce (8oz)
1 can pinto beans w/ liquid (14oz)
1 can kidney beans w/ liquid (14oz)
½ can diced green chilies
1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
1 tsp cumin
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp salt
½ - 1 c water
OPT: 1 lb ground beef, browned

Combine all ingredients in crockpot and cook over low heat 3-4 hours. OR  Simmer over low heat (on the stove) for 2-3 hours, stirring every 15 min.  - Lynnie Gandola

Taco Soup
1 can corn
1 can kidney beans
1 can tomato sauce
1 lb ground beef (or 1 can beef chunks)
1 can water
1 can stewed tomatoes (opt)
1 packet taco seasoning

Mix all ingredients over heat. Serve with chips, shredded cheese, and sour cream.  -Brooke Birch

Freezer Meals 

Baked Ziti
1 lb Sweet Italian Sausage
1 green pepper
1 onion
1 can tomato paste
16 oz Ricotta cheese
1-2 jars of tomato sauce (I think they are 24 oz)
*1 if you'll be cooking right away, 2 if you'll be freezing
1 pound ziti noodles
4 cups of Mozzarella cheese

Brown the sausage and sautee the peppers and onions. Boil noodles until el dente.  Mix everything together into one bowl and pour into a 13x9 pan and top with mozzarella. Freeze.  To bake: Thaw in refrigerator and then bake at 350* for 1 hour.  -Aimee Lyman

 
Chicken Pot Pie
1Package of frozen pie crusts (usually 2 in a pack)
2-3 chicken breasts cooked and chopped
1can cream of chicken soup
2 Tb milk
2 cans of vegall
1 tsp thyme
 
Place 1 pie crust on the bottom of a pie tin. Mix remaining ingredients and add to pie crust.  Top with additional crust. Freeae. To bake: Thaw in refrigerator and then bake at 375* for 35-40 minutes. -Aimee Lyman
